Does anyone have info on the actual weight of the U18B units that were NOT the light weight (small fuel tank) variant? I see 219,000 and 224,000 lbs in places for the light version but wonder what the majority actually weighed.

And yes, I’m still alive.

I have a Maine Central diesel roster book that lists U-18B weights as 250600 lbs. MEC 400-409 were a
cancelled SCL order with Blomberg trucks, GE serials 40720-40729 built in 1975.

For a second opinion, Extra 2200 South #51 (March-April 1975) p.2, has this info: built 5-75, delivered
L6-75, 252,000 lbs., 74:18 gearing, 2150 gallon fuel tank.
