Does anyone know the last time/s trains ran from Boston to Montreal and also Portland to Montreal as well as the names of those trains? Thanks, John

Mid-1960s is the answer to both date questions. The final Boston-Montreal passenger train was an unnamed B&M/CP joint service via Concord, White River Junction, and Newport that consisted of just one or two RDCs at the end, the remnant of the conventional equipment Alouette. It ended in January 1965. The final Portland-Montreal passenger train was a once-a-week, summer weekend only round trip on the Grand Trunk originating in Montreal to carry Quebecers who vacationed at Old Orchard Beach, which then and now was popular among French-Canadian beachgoers. That weekend train made its last run in August 1967.
