At least it did not block the Mainline. The wreck happened on the Conemaugh Line which is a northerly route between Pittsburgh and Conpit Junction which is West of Johnstown, Heavier Eastbounds use the Conemaugh Line because of the lesser grades to avoid helpers out of Pittsburgh. Reports were that since everything has been using the Mainline, many helpers were tying onto the rear of trains further out toward Pittsburgh, instead of Conemaugh.
