Hi all -

Wondering if anyone knows (better yet, have pix showing) the visual diffs between AC-9's & AC-11's? Particularly the "porches".

Did the 9's have enclosed (all-weather) cabs?

I have a Riva AC-11 already needing a good bit of reconstruction, so thought mebbe to rebuild as a 9 instead.

SPs AC9s were not cab forwards.AC9s were the only class of ACs to have the cab in the rear.They were originally used in New Mexico,and were coal fired.They were later converted to oil,and finished their days on the Modoc line.
