Wawa has a stadium? Whenever I'm in Delco I hardly venture far off of 95. I've rarely been along Baltimore Pike since moving out of PA in 1985.

does anyone know where the Lenni Substation is located at? It's just east of the grade crossing at Lungren Road. motor P.S. "Hello It's Me" by a dude with a similar name (Todd Rundgren) just came into my mind again - as it always does when I spot Lungren Road on the map (or drove it back ...

2) Why is the focus on so obviously on the Convention Center / Casino? That isn't so great a traffic generator that it's proximity should reorient the priorities of the project (i.e. the tail wagging the dog). I'm guessing because, at least for the time being, the Casino is giving the Township a ni...

Didn't get anywhere near Ashland due to certain issues, but I did stand in Shockoe Slip underneath the double deck trestle watching AMTK 67 depart RVM, then saw a CSX coal drag start up on receiving yellow over yellow once 67 had cleared the block, then saw another CSX coal drag turn from westbound ...

I watched the eastbound Pennsylvanian come and go from the overhead bridge in Altoona (and repeated the ritual in Tyrone on my way home two days later). Saw lots of trains rounding the HC; saw a teenage railfan with two scanners photographing an eastbound (I wished him well in his hobby); saw action...

Almost forgot... neither was Schuylkill County, of which Pottsville is the county seat.

That debacle (that could've led to tragedy) prompted SEPTA to examine all its rail bridges, which ultimately led to RailWorks. Or so Gerry Williams tells us in Trains, Trolleys and Transit, his wonderful book on SEPTA's steel-wheeled transit services and their history.

FWIW Berks County has increased 100k since 1980 (I was attending then-Kutztown State then). Berks is also outside SEPTA territory and Barta/Berks County/the municipalities were unwilling to underwrite continued service there, too. One weekend I went home to Boothwyn on a bus/train/train ride - Trail...

One thing that needs to be realized here is that the producers do NOT receive any royalties for the programs aired on RFDTV. The only perceived benefit they receive is exposure. As most know, both Jim Boyd and Marc Balkin (owner of Mark 1) have passed and I do not believe Marc's son is actively see...

What transit York does have has a stupid name: Rabbit Transit. And I'm a Bugs/Looney Tunes fan. But somebody possessing power at Time Warner must see the humor in the name.

I don't have time to look it up earlier on this thread, but does anybody (like those railroad.net'ers in the film industry) have an idea what Ms. Schwartz's duties as (an) "assistant director" would've been for a flick like this?

A fourth member of the film crew has been charged with crimes, reports the AP. I googled "Gregg Allman movie" but got nothing about it. Nor did I find anything about it on the site of Savannah's Channel 3. FWIW here's TRAINS' report for my fellow subscribers... http://trn.trains.com/news/n...
