They have worked out an agreement with the town to use trucks.

Love watching for those late-night Sunday equipment moves to Bay Head. Last night saw GP40-4203 pulling a Comet IV, and Comet V, a ML, and another Comet IV.

Is GP40-4300 the Long Branch protect unit? Aren't the 4300s geared for 100 mph running? I saw them working the rail trains a couple years ago. Isn't using the fast units kind of like using a thorobred race horse to pull a wagon?

Nice seeing a Geep coming down the line. The PL42s have a certain space shuttle look to them, but the dual-power machines have almost no styling. The Geeps have a traditional locomotive look to them. Newer power seems to be going to a generic no-frills look. Like auto designers seem to want every car to look like an egg.

I saw an equipment move the other night. There were two dual-power units in front of two Comet coaches. Do the dual-powers run on overhead wire until they get to Long Branch, or are they diesel the whole way?
