I'm not sure if this is posted in another topic, but Here is a link to a youtube video of a photographer being detained in "Charm City" (Baltimore, Md. for all of you non-Baltimorons... 8^) )

I'm not sure this was one of the incidents, but two recent of railfan photographers being hassled by MTA police made the headlines in the Baltimore Sun last week. Faced with the threat of an ACLU lawsuit, the MTA's administrator promptly repudiated his police and stated there was neither any law or MTA policy that prohibited photography from public property. It seemed to be a typical case of the police making their own rules, and although it's claimed that the police have been told this, the personnel turnover is such that similar cases are likely to occur again in the future.

Took a railfan ride on light rail once and, despite the exterior pleasantness of the trip, have never been back. The kids would love it but no...way.
