Greetings, fellow DL&W/EL fans......

I'm looking for a few quick answers to some Lackawanna related questions -

When was the Washington NJ station torn down?

AND

When did passenger service end to Washington?

Thanks,

R. Heiss

By October 19th 1982 the Washington Station was completely torn down. I would guess the passenger service ended in the 60s.

There was a thread about the station sometime back. The Station was torn down around the early 80s and service ended around the mid 70s. There are pics on the internet about the station and what it looked like when it was abandoned and in it's prime plus there are pics of it being torn down. It's a damn shame Washington can't get rail service because it's only a 10-15 mile train ride past the Hackettstown Station. Plus Washignton station was alot nicer then the old Hackettstown and Mt Olive Stations. I think it was actually larger then Dover's
