Why wouldn't they make Byron hill? It's downhill eastbound.

Since I have heard from people whom lives close to Byron Hill have reported that few eastbound trains rarely stall and break apart. Last week, Q264 went into emergency at Byron Hill, lost a knuckle on the 57th head car.

The only tricky part of going east bound down the "Byron Hil" is there is a brief dip at the bottom then a small upgrade heading eats past CP 393 then it goes down grade again through Bergen. Grabbing a knuckle here is unusual but not unheard of with these monster autoracks which quite often are nearly 2 miles long or more. A little quick outa dynamic and into the throttle before the slack stretches out and whamo. Conductor takes a walk.
