Anyone have an idea what trains are rating the big 6 Axle Alcos these days. I am heading down to WNY&PA country to get some video Wed & Thur and was wondering in which direction to head.... Olean or Meadville?

are any of the 6axles in service? Most as i know are in Falconer or Cohocton awaiting repair. i think most WNY&P unit trains are powered by the 430s for now, with the appearance of a 424 occasionally.
But, i could be wrong. i think # 73 the M630 at Cohocton will be the first to go to the WNY&P

Last reports stated that an EMD SD40-2 and former M&E ALCOs C424/5's #4264, 4228, and 4223 were the out of service units in Falconer. The only two big Alcos running are C630 #630 and M636 #636 and are seeing regular action on the WNYP.

Still out of service are the balance of the M636's and C636's in Cohocton of former Cartier/ NYSW fame and the MNNR #73.

Still out of service in Lakeville are C425 #550, RS36 #418, RS1 #20, C430 #432, C430 (Former NYSW #3006) #433 and the three dead lined C424's that have been used as parts sources.

No reports of any more nearing the get ready status in a while.

Surely things will happen as they can.
