has anybody ever rode the R110a/b

i have rode the R110a when i was five years old but i dont rember what it sound like has anybody here rode the R110a/b what was it like and how did the traction motors sound.

What lines did they run on? I know I never rode them.

The R110a ran on the 2 line from 1992 though 1998 and the R110b ran on the A and C lines from 1992 though 2000.

IIRC the 110A was a Kawasaki with motors like the # 6, and the 110B was a Bombardier like today's # 2 and # 5 lines and sounded like those lines.

I got to ride th R110B (R131) on the A train from 42 Street till Far Rockaway in 1994, and back. Im also took pictures (mostly the exterior and interior of the B end). Didn't get an interior of the A end.

I also see that this train 3004-3009 is still around, a 207th last time I checked.
