Online railroad scanners for North Jersey

i found a site awhile back, where you could lisen to north jersey rail freq. Does anyone know of such a site??? I have looked all day and cant find it.

Question: what range to the scanners' reception have?

We live in Phoenix, AZ with the closest rail about eight direct miles from our home. Would this pick up anything from UP and BNSF in the area?
