Hello,
I would like to introduce myself. My name is EJ Toal Jr. My Father, Ed Toal Sr. was the maintenance electrician in Camden from 1943-1985. I grew up in brookklawn till 1979 at which time I joined the US Navy. I can remember riding the turn table at CTE and watching my Father repairing the drop table at Pavonia every time it flooded out. During the early 70's I would ride with the crew of 22A on the Gloucester branch. Kenny Dunn, Bobby Shertle, and Bobby Bethanis were at the throttle. Moe Myers was the conducter and "Patcher" was the head-end brakeman. I learned how to handle a BS-12 before I could drive a car. I can still remember reading the "Book of Rules" and getting quized on signal aspects. A few years ago I was in contact with Charlie Grielier through e-mail. I am currently the US Navy Fleet Diesel Inspector (engine house term for Master Machanic), stationed in Kings Bay, Ga. I am looking forward to reading the postings and sharing information with you all.
