Hey Tom--I painted that hunting lodge (Pine Crest) in the 70's along with a friend from Lake Villa, New Jersey. Used to stay there a lot and meet the train in back of the lodge at about 4pm and throw the engineer and the crew in the caboose several beers. The train returned about 4am. It usually had about 65 cars and had three RS-3 engines. One time we talked the engineer into giving us a ride to Vineland where we picked up the north bound train back to the lodge. What a great night! It was difficult to keep all three RS-3 engines running at the same time.

I love looking at then/now pics like that, especially of the southern. Its a shame when you see what it looks like in its current state. Have any more Tom? Take care -Chris
