VIA 2 (Vancouver-Toronto) disabled at Ruby Creek BC (CP Cascades subdivision)

VIA 2 has been stopped for several hours, and a rumour on groups.io says a locomotive’s fuel tank was compromised by a collision with an object. As yet, nothing on VIA or TSB social. The schedule tracker claims the train continues to run on schedule but the inconvenient location display of 0 km/h well south of the scheduled next station which was visible this morning has now vanished. Similarly, the #1 departing Toronto on the 6th is no longer in the reservation system, reappearing only as a Winnipeg departure on the 7th.

I haven't found any official confirmation regarding the incident on VIA 2 on groups.io or VIA or TSB social media platforms. It's possible that the information circulating on groups.io about a compromised fuel tank due to a collision with an object is a rumor.
