The T recently ended this policy, which is utterly absurd as the system is working no better than it was when it was initiated.

Thankfully i dont have to rely on the redline, I dont know how you can successfully using it to commute. its sad to see the state of the cars too, the dont exaclty instill confidence looking at them

The T is anticipating significant travel time improvements on the Ashmont branch and Mattapan line following the upcoming shutdown, over 30 minutes' improvement round trip on the Red Line. Their new PR strategy seems to be to not advertise immediate improvements in speed lest we repeat the Orange Line shutdown debacle.
