When the old paint scheme (McGuiness, MCG) came out it was reviled (disliked), just like the new paint scheme (xbox) is today.

MTU has a decent reputation so this is something of a surprise. Does anyone know what Cummins plant is going into the rebuilds?

Thank you for that. Interesting plant. The MPI MP54AC uses two QSK60s. The soon-to-be-released testbed fashoned from an ex-L&N GP35 is using a QSK50. And of course the Charger was built around the QSK95. Even so the QSK60 has a good railroad track record so it should be a good performer.

MNRR engine 112 was spotted on the Virtual Railfan railcam in Laramie, WY on July 31 at 6:50 MDT.
I believe it was one of the Brookville BL20GH engines. Any idea why it was way out there?

MPI Boise, though I recall the Wabtec-GE merger would consolidate MPI in Erie at the GE works and close Boise (former MK Rail).

The MBTA F-40 rebuilds got shifted to Erie from Boise,Believe the MN repower project was also shifted to Erie as well.
Any units at Boise were completed before the closure, there was an "embargo" for shipments to Wabtec/GE while the factory was moving to GE Erie

At 2:36 PM the other afternoon 4/7/2021 BL20 #110 leading, Shoreliner II 6357, MN inspection car #2 and P32AC-DM #211 trailing was seen going by White Plains southbound after train #9536. I chased it over on the Hudson Line in Tarrytown as it went by at 4:05 PM with #211 for it's leader northbound to Harmon on the geometry train, it came after #4839 and before Trains 49 Lake Shore Limited and #8739.

The past few days it was running a geometry train on the New Haven Line and that day 4/7 visited the Harlem Line.

A consist of ballast hoppers has been sitting in New Rochelle with a pair of GP-35s for weeks....what's going on? I'm assuming it has to do with the tie replace work through Harrison, ect....

I've ridden to Yankees a couple times and have noted work, including bridge deck replacement in Port Chester. I think they're definitely upgrading along that same OOS track.

Apparently, sometime recently, MN began leasing a pair of engines including a GP40-LW and MP20B from Precision Locomotive Leasing for a "Project". Can anyone elaborate?
