MTA fare increases that are mandated by a law passed in 2013 will take effect on June 27. MARC train and commuter bus one-way fares will increase by $1. Under the 2013 state law, fares for commuter bus and MARC are reviewed every five years.
A fare increase is also taking effect on June 27 for MTA light rail, local bus and Metro subway. However, the governor authorized funds to be allocated from the American Relief Plan Act of 2021.
