I'm trying to find a little bit more info on the Railroad station at Plymouth, NY Chenango County. I know it was built in 1869 by the NY Ontario & Midland Railroad and used on their Auburn branch, also by the O & W from 1874-1879. Was wondering what it was used for in between then and now? Thanks

I know it's been moved from it's original location, and turned 90'.

The railroad was removed between Norwich and Deruyter, so presumably the relatively new building was sold to become a business or private residence.

Actually the marker is wrong. It was built in 1870 or 1871. I don't have my notes here to refer to but it was not 1869.

Rails were ripped in Spring 1882.

At one time the building was used as a chicken coop, other uses not sure.... farm / barn related I believe.

It's been moved several times.

lol no, my guess is most likely the signal is either O&W mainline from Norwich or possibly LV Canastota Branch.

That O&W line has been gone so long it's not on the oldest topo maps I can find online.
