These cars are still very alive and well. I saw 3 or 4 full sets @ 125th street in the course of 50 minutes.

ok 22 S-cars in service only 3 to go before all M-8's are in service, one set of old M cars will remain as spare.

By close of today 6/26/15, the M4/M6 fleet will be taken out of service but will remain on the property. Good riddance.

cab signal/alerter issues , the M-4 and M-6 were never modified so had to go

Regarding the M-2s, only 8700s left? There haven't been sightings of 8400s/8800s for some time.

So they can be used in a consist,but can not be on ends,must be in the middle between M-2's?

I spotted at least one set yesterday sitting next to Track 12 @ New Haven with all pans up.

There might have been another set in revenue service EB @ Milford though that could have been a triplets consist.

RE: the triplets there were at least 2-3 3-car sets parked in the yard @ NHV next to the SLE facility.
