FYI, I went over the Rouses Point highway bridge early last month, and even the portion that was being used as a fishing pier is unusable. I speculate that it was the high water from Hurricane Irene last year which did it in.

Also, I found two more sections of the Rutland which are still open, one in NY and the other in VT. See the very bottom of http://russnelson.com/rutland.html . Oh, and the Mooers railroad station is being maintained by Larry Marnes as a museum. I don't know if he keeps it open on a regular basis, but if you're in the area, it's definitely worth a look-see.
