I used to think I was crazy but now I know I'm not. While riding the Green Line yesterday, going inbound towards Boyleston, just before the big turn as you're entering the station, I saw a door or an open section of the wall on the outbound side side of the track. I caught this out of the corner of my eye just as we were passing so I never really got a good look but it was definitely there. What is it? Had I not been in a rush I would have hopped off at Boyleston and headed back outbound to see what it was. What is this door? What is behind it?
I had been convinced for quite some time that I saw lights in this very section once before but whenever I'd look again (I used to take the train everyday passed there going to work) I wouldn't see it. I thought I was insane. I didn't want to post it on the forum for fear of being branded a "troll." But yesterday I really F'ing saw it. Unfortunately I'm working in Needham now, so I haven't had the chance to get back there to see what kind of opening this is. Someone please tell me what I saw. It looked like a door or a rather large section of the wall missing and there was light behind it. I couldn't see any details. Again, this was on the wall on the outbound side of the tracks, right after the big curve at Boyleston. Don't tell me something stupid like I'm mistaking it for the old Public Gardens incline -- I know where this is and this is not the same thing. This is literally right after the curve -- I estimate that the Tremont Street tunnel passes right underneath this point. The Public Gardens Incline etc. is way down closer to Arlington.
I am not a troll nor am I crazy. I just want answers.
