I think you need to read that article again. Nowhere did it say that the line is in danger of being abandoned.

Uh Andy, I think you need to come to grips with reality bro! There are basically no online freight shippers over the branch, so if the passenger trains don't run anymore then obviously the line will become dormant.....The next thing after the line becomes dormant is abandonment.....You can thank your local NIMBYS for that.....
