My mistake....Thursday 8/30/12 is the Brooks dinner train. Sorry.

I am glad that they will be up and running soon but a bit disappointed. I was on vacation last week and planned to ride one of their mid-week trains, but they were canceled. Perhaps a fall weekend trip might work out.

This line reopens tomorrow after great volunteer work and contributions to repair track concerns. Its a nice line, with nice equipment, and the volunteers are even nicer- come ride or donate soon!

Hoping for a great Fall season and the foliage trains.

A test train went out Saturday morning and all is well Track crews did a fine job. Afternoon train robbery ran well and the "robbers" said we did a super job. Didn't work the evening train. Contractor for the gateway had ties dropped off at Linden Ave which is the next project so the crossing can be replaced and paved. Another crew will begin work south of Milford probably next month.

The grant $ came through for work on the flood damaged south end and work progressing nicely towards Portlandville. The old Milford Park RR just might get going again. Brush being cleared and ties are being cut and stacked.

Perhaps someone can explain what the old Milford Park RR is.

Also, I was hoping to ride a train on 10/13. I see that their Fall Foliage trains run from Sept. to October 7th, and Halloween trains are in late October. Is anything running on 10/13?

Oct 8th is last foliage train then break to decorate for Halloween. Oct 26+27 are the haunted halloween trains then we break to decorate for Christmas lights trains.

The Milford Park RR is an old miniature train and coaches that ran around the field west of the engine house and next to the Milford Park. Out of service for a long time but somebody is working on the train, clearing the brush and replacing ties. Kind of like the small trains that ran in the kiddie parks in the 50's and 60's.

The main air cylinder for our Jordan spreader arrived and ready to be installed. Main plow will be fully operational. Be a help if it snows a lot over the winter. No snow delays for the Easter Bunny trains!
