I saw this article in a local small newspaper. I could not resist.

The 'Rest Area' on I-95 has been there since original days.

I'd bet every resident of the area moved in post-I-95.

The thought. Just move this into somebody elses neighborhood.

the state will work to provide more electric hook-ups at rest stops that allow truckers to keep their engines warm without running them. He said the ultimate goal is to use freight trains and barges to transport goods, getting trucks off the highway. Until then, Connecticut will depend on tractor trailers to keep store's shelves stocked.
HA! They want trains to help get trucks off the road! What an ironic change of opinion! I'm sure once they start trying to build new rail lines or upgrade existing ones, people will oppose that as well...

You were right, sure is off-topic. We dislike NIMBY's when they block our favorite rail projects... and we know NIMBY's are opposed to anything- rail, roads, whatever.
