Does anyone know what happened to the former Conrail GP38 NS renumbered 2932? I had last seen it in 2001 working at Port Newark in New Jersey. The 2932 was not listed on Norfolk Southern's 2003 roster that came out at the end of 2002. The rest of the Conrail GP38's were retired in late 2003 and are slated to be rebuilt. Was the 2932 wrecked, sold off, or scrapped? Just wondering why this unit disappeared long before the rest of the Conrail GP38's. Thanks in advance for any info.
