Sunday morning - the ICE and CITX units were pulling the empties out of Motiva.

ICE 6407

After they pulled the empties up to Cartaret - they jumped into a pair of UP AC44's and brought them down to Port Reading - flipped the power @ the Wye - and went back up - grabbed a cut of full cars - and shoved them into Motiva.

A fun day to be trackside.

Thanks for the rundown Rob. I didn't stick around to see what they were doing in Carteret. Went up to Linden to get rosters of the warbonnet and burnt pumpkins sitting at the end of Wood Avenue.

Good shots, Rob, and great catch on the ex-SP unit! Since I don't make my yearly trips to Texas anymore, I really enjoy the western stuff around here, especially anything Espee.....

Nice catch, is that SP unit the same that made its way out here a few months ago? There was a BNSF unit at Sewaren today, and also saw an unrepainted Santa Fe Warbonnet unit at Tremley while driving past on the Turnpike today. There sure is a lot of foreign power around these days!

And now for something completely different; an ex-Conrail/LMS Leasing C40-8W, lettered for......Canadian National?!
Saw her earlier in the day (unable to get a good shot), and tracked her down hours later.......

I would guess it's still in the area this morning, but probably not for long...

Took a ride through Sewaren this afternoon around 1pm, and the CN unit was nowhere to be found. Some nice looking BNSF power though.

Big power, and a north-of-the-border visitor today (this lashup left town at 3:30pm).....

Two BNSF units in Sewaren this afternoon, and a BNSF leader on an incoming train as I left the area....happy hunting...

There is an aggressive schedule to get Motiva two trains a day. The good part is trains with foregin power will not likely spend days waiting for CSXT power in Selkirk.

So I assume the foreign power will continue? What will be the new trains number? Good to know business is "pumping".

There isn't any "new" train symbols becasue they will do two trains a day. Just a quicker turnaround of the trains already in the "pipeline"
