Well i just signed up to the site. Found so many interesting things on this site and couldn't believe how big the RP/LF area is to railfans. Been living across the river in little ferry for 22 years and have constantly gone down there as a kid.

Here are a few pics i've taken down there.
Ridgefield park station. all others have been taken from same spot.

Great pictures.

When were the Jersey City pictures taken of the Central Jersey sheds?

Very nice shots in Jersey City.

Were the Philly Express and Blue Comet shots done with PhotoShop? I ask as there's a time disconnect between the signage and the foliage.

Nice work, if it was.

I tend to take alot but im very picky as to what i want saved. But i may go down today/tonight since g/f is away im free for a few days.

The jersey city shots were taken just like that. I'de say the end of june is when i took them. The plant life is just weeds growing up where the tracks were. The jersey city terminal is open to the public during the day if they have concerts going on. I was lucky enough to be there when it was open.

The track destination signs at the CNJ Terminal in Jersey City were done about 8 to 10 years ago by a few summer employees who were local students. Debra Kindervarten (Spell?) terminal historian at the time researched the info for them. I helped with some of the info. The signs are clear plastic sheets with vinyl lettering applied. The back side was then spray painted. They have held up very well. If you know your stations stops at least three have mistakes in listing the stops, out of order. Well, student project. I think there are twelve in the collection. I still have information for two more B&O Royal Blue and CNJ Newark Local but the project lasted only one summer.

Thanks, Andy.

That's what I was gently probing to determine, since those last trains left CNJ-JC almost four decades ago. I thought the signs looked in awfully good shape.
