Just saw 1116 pulling 2 "Precision Locomotive Leasing" locos south past West Medford - first was 9619, didn't get the second. Are these for MoW?

They are for the fiber optic train. They are expected to be here for a few years. All of the fiber optic lines run for PTC have to be buried, and this is being done by train. The work is done for the winter and will resume once the ground thaws in the spring.

PNLX locomotives & fiber train covering Lowell line rn. Just watched it lay wires in Winchester for a good thirty minutes. I noticed they had to bring the wires up aboveground for an underpass, wonder how they're gonna cover it after.
