The same thing happened in Framingham, Mass. last year. A Bay Colony RailRoad locomotive was dragged by B725 (FR-35) from Framingham to Attleboro with a hand-brake applied. 21 miles @ 10MPH with now HBD along the route, it was never noticed until the engine along with the train for Cape Cod, was interchanged with B726 (MI-01).

The result was three to four inch flat spots. :(

As of this afternoon, it is safely in Cedar Hill Yard, New Haven. The engineer of Conn. Southern train CSO1 said the handbrake worked just fine and there were no signs of flat spots. I saw it head south through Berlin CT at 7:50am, not a hint of flat spots did I hear. (whew!!)
The locomotive's journey, at least to this point, has been much faster than anticipated.

Apparently my last post was going to expose some highly guarded "state secret" about the NAUG 1508. Hey maybe someone can e-mail me off-line regarding my last question. Sorry to ruffle the feathers of anyone involved.
