Morris and Essex Line - Weekend Hoboken Service

I am new around the forum and had a question regarding service on the M&E to Hoboken on the weekends. Saturday (3/5) I saw a 6ML set operating past the High Street bridge in Summit at 9:24 AM. Upon consulting Departure Vision it showed a 9:30-ish departure to Hoboken. It wasn't in the timetable and there wasn't any special event notice on NJ Transit's website, so why were these trains running?

Th train I saw was numbered 8924 I believe.

You saw special train 8958 (should have been 8ML) for the Hoboken St. Pats Celebration Saturday March 5th only.
