The 10:05/11:05 is an NYP-WAS train, so I don't see why bridge work would impact a train originating in Sunnyside.

Would be interesting if Amtrak ran an Acela trainset to Newark but sold it at Regional pricing to compensate for the reduced ability to service the train at Newark.

Acela to Newark or could you run a Regional into Hoboken? I think there is a link between the two systems.

HOB has a wye for non-push pull, the West End about 2.5 miles west beyond the Bergen Tunnels, connects
off the Morris & Essex main line to the Main/Bergen Line.

The wye originally was to allow access to the Lackawanna's Kingsland Shop on the Boonton Line (the Main Line
south of Paterson was the original Lackawanna Railroad Boonton Line until 1963).
