the last car's hose is making a high pitch squaling noise.

...........................
That noise is the air-operated battery charging device on the EOT. It's keeps the battery charged and reduces EOT failures.

Is there something wrong with 420 that they're using 418 instead?

Here's the newest news I just received.

"637 & 638 will ship Wednesday morning from Cohocton. This will eliminate the EMD fuel hogs soon."

Credit goes to the new management who have certainly stepped up and helped to see Kevin McGarvey's goals achieved.

What units are the 631, 638 and 637.. Are they the Cartier C636s? Or.. The M630 and the 636s?
Just Curious.
Thanks.

Sean,
you can check the heritage of all the units here:

http://gold.mylargescale.com/Scottychaos/NY-Alcos/

I updated the page yesterday, and I have 637 and 638 listed as WNYP units..
(as opposed to leased units)
although that isnt 100% confirmed yet..
I will change it if necessary..

Three of the eight Cartier engines are now back in service..
636, 637 and 638...all are M636 units.

630 and 631 are not ex-Cartier units.

Greg,
I like your lists! :)
but one minor nit-pick:
#4228 leased by RRPX, Parked Falconer, NY yard
#4223 leased by RRPX, Parked Falconer, NY yard
shouldnt that be "leased from RRPX"? ;)

leased by RRPX implies LAL owns the unit and RRPX is leasing it from the LAL..
which of course is backwards..

thanks,
Scot

Thanks Scotty! Wasn't paying that close of attention, obviously. But, now it's fixed and updated. On all three forums.

Looks like cement is being poured got the new engine house from what i saw while I was there.
