Mr NHV et al, here is an article from The Times addressing the impact that the maritime companies are confronted with owing to the Red Sea hostilities and the resulting Cape sailings are having on traffic sailing Westward from Asia.

Since so much of the traffic you report on moving from the Port of Saint John, represents maritime, I think this article should be of interest.
