Interesting Consist Discussion for the North Side

There's at least two double-headers roaming north right now.

Thursday night, a late 219 had 1027+1067 leading two Rotems and two flats. 1067 was doing HEP only.

Friday morning, 152 arrived at NS with 1060 in front of an unknown Geep - I was too far away to read the road number through the grime on the Geep.

The (one of the?) Halloween trains in 2013 was 5 Rotems, eventually cut down to 4. It stuck around in revenue for a few weeks; I have a picture of it on 11/10/13.

I remember that, 011 was the locomotive and 1801(I think) was the control car.

Just caught a glimpse of it, but there was a set departing North Station about 6:45 AM which appeared to have a locomotive on the south (inbound) end. Not sure if it was a set with a unit on each end, or just turned around for some reason, but that would be rather unusual, especially on the north side.

Engine on both ends, they must be tight on control cars.

Saw the consist going through Cedar Park at approx 5pm. HSP46, 2 rotems, 2 or 3 flats, and an F40PH on the rear.

It was as of last night, south to north, 1027-6xx-6xx-8xx-781-2019. Note that 700's are pretty rare on the northside as well. It was running 293/294 last night, and based on time was probably heading out to do 285 when I caught a glimpse of 1027 trailing as I arrived at NS this morning. Note that last week 1027 was doubleheaded with 1067 on a set.

And it was on 303/308 this morning with a control car back in place: 2019-781-811-604-366-637-1646.

Well that's now a huge set for the northside, at least in these troubled times!

1027 is still playing cab car as of Monday morning. It was sitting at NS just before 7 AM. Set was (IIRC): 1027-1632-F-F-R-F-1119 (south to north).

Set is still running mostly as such as of Friday morning, except the role of 1119 is now being played by 1035. Was on 213/222 Thursday night, then showed up in 152 this morning.

1057 is now one end of a double headed locomotive set. Didn't catch the "cab car" locomotive

Trying to work from memory, but I'm pretty sure it was still 1027 yesterday morning.

1027 has been playing cab car for probably a month now. If I recall correctly, there is actually a cab car right behind it, too. Or at some point there was. I wonder what is wrong with the cab car.

The control car on the 1057/1027 set is 1632, they do use the PTIS device just in case you wish to track it.
