Interesting Consist Discussion for the North Side

There are at least two 7 car sets on the North Side right now.

This morning on 106 we had the following consist: 1821-354-1616-693-605-830-645-HSP

We pulled in beside this set on the adjacent platform.

1645-607-1603-826-351-1604-502

Where are these extra cars coming form. This is a real rarity that I'm happy to see.

Usually a 7 or 8 car set on the Northside means some Polar Express trains are running for the upcoming weekend.

1826 has been leading a 7 car set as well. The 404 has been getting a 7 car set for at least a month now, and the 421 usually has been getting one as well. Both trains needed the extra capacity pretty badly.

What goes out as 421 comes back as 404 the next morning.

1814 is now currently leading a 7 car set on the North Side

There is currently a 6 car set of all flats making the rounds on the North Side that has no potty. (No MBB)
