69Q is a westbound empty,68Q would be loads.68Q would be the symbol of the train that wrecked in New Brighton,Pa just an FYI.

Engineer James, the NS GEVO's, I believe, are numbered in the 7500's and I hear they're ordering more this year. Most NS C40-9w's are numbered in the 9000's and there are a few in the 8900's. Just to give you an idea of what is what next time you come across them. Also the GEVO's have the white top on them.

NS 9-40CW actually cover the whole 8900 series, and a few of the 8888's (8889 on up).

C40-9Ws are from 8889-9978 and ES40DCs 7500-7664.

Yup ... so powerful that they can move an empty Ethanol train, even when they're not on it! :-)

ok, enough jokes already, so what, the kid made a mistaken identity. everyone here has made one at some point, that is unless you are all locomotive identification experts.

Geez ... lighten up ... nobody is blasting the kid, just having a little innocent fun.

I guess I'd have to be one too. If the yardmaster tells me to get on an engine, and I don't identify it correctly, I'm taking someone else's power! :-D

Hahaha, sorry, I did make a small error... still one of those locomotives can probably pull a ton (not meant literally). Maybe 50-75 cars? more?
