Sorting boxes in the garage, and finding all sorts of old stuff I forgot I had. Came across copies of Conrail waybill #255537 dated 3-13-79.

Equipment is IREX 10, type engine, weight 44 tons. Waybilled from Avon LA&L NY, shipper Industrial Railway Equipment Co. Consignee is Industrial Railway Equipment Co Care of East Erie Commercial RR, Erie PA. Description is "1 locomotive used 44 ton loco traveling on own wheels but not under own power" Also there is a notation "Locomotive to travel at appropriate low speeds".

There is an arrival stamp at Goodman St yard dated March 16, 1979 so likely that's when it actually got there. My book shows that was my day off; no wonder I don't recall seeing it there.

So - if anybody has been curious about just when and where, there you have it.
