These photos show turbine blades on flats. From these shots, it's hard to see how far out these blades really hang on a curve.
Here is the Susie-Q SD45 last spring. She is now MIA as the turbines are being loaded where she used to sit.
Here is the engine Mike was refering to. In the second shot, you can see the AMP switcher.
Last time I worked there, about 3 weeks ago, there were a beautifully refurbished pair of engines for a North Carolina line, looked like commuter engines. I was too busy to catch a shot of them.
