Lyon Mountain to Plumadore was abandoned in 1946 and the Saranac Lake to Lake Placid section sold to NYC. Earlier, in 1940 D&H got rights on NYC from Plumadore to Lake Clear Jct via a new connector and over the NYC branch to Saranac Lake allowing them to abandon from Plumadore to Saranac Lake.
