Spotted this unit in the lead of the D751 yesterday, sporting the new CSX (Boxcar?) paint scheme, looking very good. This unit appeared to be rebuilt at some time. Does anyone know when and if this was done?

I don't know for sure if this unit just had a Standard Repair or not. What I can tell you is this, CSX is painting Locomotives as fast as they can to get the Boxcar Logo on them. CSX paints there Locomotives in Waycross and in Huntington. SD40-2 8348 use to be a Straight SD40. This unit was rewired to a Dash 2 in the very late 1980's.
