John Shuniak, who maintains the grounds at the Iron Bridge Overlook at Cassandra, Pa is continuing an event that was started last year. The following dates are Saturday evenings which will run into Sunday Mornings...June 18, July 16., Aug 20, and Sept 10th, 2005. On these nights, the Overlook will be lit with floodlights to allow night photography of trains on the east side of the Overlook. Fans can stay as long as they wish...stay til midnight and then head to your hotel...or stay all night! It will stay lit on those nights as long as railfans keep coming. On the inaugural events last year, most ended by 12AM-1AM after most fans departed, but it can run until sunrise if fans stay.... A good chance to hang out and watch trains, as well as meet other railfans from various webgroups, and exchange info, e-mails, etc... Fans are welcome to bring coolers with non-alcoholic beverages, food, grills, tents, chairs, etc. For more info, you can contact John Shuniak at [email protected] or landline (814) 736-4880. Should be a fun time! Dave Williams @ [email protected]

Yes.... For the all-nighters they are okay with camping...yes...last year, nobody did any camping, though camping was promoted for those nights... guess everyone was feeling it out...most stayed until 11...about 7 or 8 of us stayed unitl Midnight or 1 Am when most got tired and left....but last year was the first year for them...hopefully it'll grow....
