Canac does maintenance and repair of small and medium size locomotive in Canada as well as in USA and has great expertise in conversion of switcher to booster (slug) unit apparently. Somebody knows where those boosters are and how they go ?

I noticed a Canac GP10 rebuild unit (remote controlled) at a paper mill in Macon, GA several days ago. Looked like the guy on the ground was still getting used to the remote control game!

I wasn't aware that Canac leased out units for work at industrial locations.

Learned something new!

Canac is steadily growing in its operations in Houston, Texas. They have several switchers on lease at a storage facility called Vopak, and one in a plastics plant.

If you'll look at Canac's website, you'll see that they have a industrial switcher division, and a Houston branch office.
