No, I didnt bother this time..because they still look exactly like this:

and this:

nothing has changed since the last time I photographed them, so I didnt feel any need to take more pictures.

By the way has anyone looked at the ad on railswap? It HAS the engine number in!

This is the ad on railswap-

"Description
Former CP Rail RS-18u #1850 Road Switcher for sale.

Built by MLW (Alco) in the 1950s and remanufactured by CP in the 1980s. 1800 hp. 251C 12 cylinder turbocharged engine. 4 axle unit. Roller Bearings. Good on fuel. Chop nose, ditchlights on front end.

Unit currently stored in Upstate NY. Sold AS IS, WHERE IS. Inspection by appointment only."

Just look and you will see it IS the 1850!

uhaul wrote:Are these two units near the train station that you see as you are heading south on New York Route 96?
yes..there are actually 4 units in Owego at the moment.
The two MLW's and two EMD SW-somethings.

The yard area is the former LVRR interchange area, where the LV auburn division heads north out of Owego.
Immediately north of the Erie main.
uhaul wrote: Are these the units named rocky & Bullwinkle?
yes and no.

RS18 1811 is "Rocky"
but "Bullwinkle" is one of the EMD switchers.

RS18 1850 is in CP red, and has no name that im aware of.

Has anyone purchased the RS-18 yet? I haven't read anything about it for some time.

I saw that the ad is still there. I asked, maybe a week ago, through Rail Swap, if the unit was still available, and got no reply. So now I'm asking about it on the forum-

The owner emailed me on 9/26. He has decided to take it off the market.

Anybody interested in an HH600/HH660 should get in touch with RELCO... they are shutting down one of their facilities where the HHs are located. Heard about this on the LocoNotes group.
