I wonder why they don't have doors on the station platforms? (Like the VAL metros, or the Jubilee line extension).

doors may work for metro's but not at stations where shinkansens blow by at over 150 mph, one train and all doors would be out of adjustment.

If Conductors are in charge, why are they promoted to be Engineer???
