Aha, now I understand why you cannot cut out a single traction motor now... I guess I lost that argument...

CN has no AC power... so I have nothing to reference...

you can still cut out a single traction motor, Or you could on the FL-9ac anyway.
The inverter powers two traction motors but it will just as easy power one traction motor.
The TM cutout just shuts down power output of one inverter output.

The biggest problem with two traction motors on one inverter is, the wheel size on both axles can not differe more than (I believe) 3/8" or inverter will turn itself off.
