I was playing around on rrpicturearchives and found this little mystery....

The 568 was seen in the St. Louis area in both 07 and 09. It was also spotted in Iowa a week later. Within a few months of the AARX 568 mystery photos, TRE 568 was photographed, in service, in Texas.

obviously the dates are not kosher as it switches from same consist AARX 568 from 2007 to 2009 as photo date ???
Could be it was lend/leased to AAAR test center in Pueblo for a while.
It is now running at TRE again as #126 after having been upgraded by RELCO in 2010

TRE locomotive 126 must have been on its way to RELCO. Confusion arises with a typo in the first photo suggesting 3/1/2007 instead of 8/1/2009, as correctly typed in the second photo....(or vice versa). Both photos were taken on the same date because its the same train.

If it were on its way to RELCO it would not have had the AARX reporting marks, which are for Pueblo test center.

RELCO reporting marks are RELX or RCCX

Maybe Relco and the TRE sent this locomotive to the Pubelo test center to test and qualify its new refurbishments for EPA Tier II status? Otherwise, I'm at a loss why it was sent to Colorado?
