Hi all. Been following this thread for weeks.

Any advice for a new hire of Pan Am that starts training soon? 😅

Seems like a merger would be beneficial to freight conductors with Pan Am? (More pay, better union) Not so much towards the west tho?

Any thoughts etc I’d appreciate regarding the conductor/engineer employee side.

Not gonna lie, tough time to hire out on the system. A lot of unknowns... both railroads (CSX and B&E) are going to need crews to move trains however only CSX has stated they do not foresee any significant labor changes.

What terminal are you hiring out of? Where do you live?
