Anybody know if this is an automatic diamond or not? By that I mean: first-come, first-served. It's on the Mendota Sub.

At the BX diamond you must contact that dispatcher for instructions before operating box on the signal mast.I though that line ran down from Nelson and went down to south IL with about 8 trains a day. They're building a new connection at Edelstein for that particular line. If Earlville, then, is not the UP crossing for the Nelson line, where does the Nelson line intersect with the Mendota Sub.
