A favorite outing of mine during the 80's was eating at Binghamton's, the restaurant aboard the former Lackawanna ferry at Edgewater but I had been told it's been closed in recent years. I saw the boat still moored in the same location across the river while driving up the west side yesterday and the sight of it brought back some nice memories. In this day and age, we're lucky it's still with us. Does anyone have any information, good or bad, regarding the Binghamton's current status or plans, if any, for it?

Thanks in advance for any updates.

I heard a rumor from this site the current owner wants to move it somewhere? Possibly to hoboken terminal ferry slips. Of the original 6 slips, 5 are being renovated to accomadate current NY waterway ferries. The 6th slip is being renovated back to it's original state as a "legacy slip". I heard a rumor that perhaps she might be the inhabitant of the legacy slip, as a floating musuem or something like that. Not sure if restaurant is still planned or not. I'll include a link.
